Timberwolves point guard Terrell Brandon sat out the final 16 minutes against Sacramento on Sunday after experiencing pain and swelling in the left knee that sidelined him for 16 games in December and January.
Coach Flip Saunders said he noticed Brandon dragging that leg in the third quarter. "His knee got a little bit sore and swelled up," he said. "We'll have to see how he is as far as [facing San Antonio]."
The Wolves play the Spurs tonight at the Alamodome. Brandon, who had arthroscopic surgery Dec. 20 and returned to the lineup Jan. 19, already was having trouble in back-to-back games, averaging only 9.1 points on 36.7 percent shooting.
In 26 minutes against the Kings, Brandon scored eight points with six assists, making four of his 12 shots. He has 127 assists and only 14 turnovers in his past 15 games.
