Marc Stein and the Dallas Morning News sent out a survey to the owners (or their representatives) to ask to what extent they agree with Mark Cuban's complaints about NBA officiating.  Only five owners responded, including the Pacers' Donnie Walsh.  But, four of the five did echo at least some of the sentiments expressed by Cuban.

The owners were asked about five assertions Cuban has made: that play has gotten too rough, a 'star system' discriminates against losing teams and non-stars, referees are too subjective, Ed Rush is not qualified to be Director of Officiating, and that some college referees are better than NBA referees.

Of the five respondents, there seems to be consensus agreement on the first two allegations, whereas support for the other three were more spotty.  But while they may agree somewhat, these owners either feel these things should be done behind closed doors or are not willing to draw the ire of David Stern by publically agreeing with Cuban.  Walsh is the lone exception by identifying himself in this survey.
