At least, the Jazz's Andrei Kirilenko won't be won't be worn out from his appearance at All-Star Weekend.

Kirilenko played the fewest minutes in Saturday afternoon's Rookie Challenge at the First Union Center. He finished with four points, two rebounds and one steal to help a team of rookies defeat a group of second-year players, 103-97.

Veteran NBA coach Chuck Daly doled out the minutes for the rookie team and, as it turned out, Indiana point guard Jamaal Tinsley (18) and Kirilenko (15) were the only two players with fewer than 21 minutes.

In the first half, Kirilenko entered with 13:11 remaining and the rookies leading, 22-19. The Clippers' Darius Miles quickly got inside of him for a layup, but Kirilenko's steal and layup with 11:05 left gave the rookies a 29-23 lead.

Sacramento's Hedo Turkoglu fouled Kirilenko on the play, but the Jazz's 20-year-old rookie from Russia missed the free throw. In all, Kirilenko went 0-for-3 from the foul line despite being a 75.6 percent shooter during the regular season.

Kirilenko's most frustrating moment came one minute later, when he played decent defense as Turkoglu squared up for a three-point shot. But the long, straight-away three-pointer still banked into the basket. Turkoglu smiled and Kirilenko shrugged as the rookies' lead was cut to 31-26.
