Peja Stojakovic of the Sacramento Kings dethroned Ray Allen of the Milwaukee Bucks as the All-Star Weekend three-point shooting champion Saturday night.

Stojakovic defeated Wesley Person of the Cleveland Cavaliers, 9-5, in an overtime shootout to clinch the championship. Allen was barely eliminated in the first round.

"I couldn't get it done," said Allen, who won the event last season. "I couldn't get it done."

Stojakovic (20 points), Person (21) and Dallas' Steve Nash (15) advanced to the final round from among the eight participants in the contest. Eliminated after the first round were Boston's Paul Pierce (8), the Clippers' Quentin Richardson (14), Orlando's Mike Miller (10), San Antonio's Steve Smith (8) and Allen (14). Had Allen made his last shot - the so-called money ball worth two pints - he would advanced to the final round.
