The New York Times are reporting that the Knicks have held discussions with the Denver Nuggets in relation to point guard Nick Van Exel, according to a Western Conference official.
One name that has not been mentioned has been Allan Houston, which according to the article indicates that Denver's interest lies in guard Latrell Sprewell.
While it is unlikely the Knicks would give up Sprewell in a deal for Van Exel, New York has also inqured about Raef LaFrentz, but are only offering Othella Harrington and Charlie Ward which would never get a deal done.
Sprewell, Harrington and Ward for Van Exel and LaFrentz? Unlikely since New York is giving up way too much salary for this one to work. But if the Knicks drop Charlie Ward or if the Nuggets add Scott Williams we have a match!
