MAGIC UPDATE: The Magic think now is the time to make a move -- and are hoping Patrick Ewing can help lead the way. Ewing gets his first challenge versus a dominant center tonight against Mourning.

HEAT UPDATE: After a 5-23 start, the Heat have won 13 of 19 games. Backup point guard Anthony Carter, who's been out after having hernia surgery, is expected to be available for tonight's game.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Now that Jones is playing at a high level again, his offensive and defensive energy should help the Heat make McGrady work harder on both ends of the court.

ETC.: The Magic beat Miami 92-87 on Jan. 24. The two teams meet twice in April, on the 12th in Miami and on the 17th in the regular-season finale.
