For the second evening in a row, the Raptors' travelling hospital failed to find a cure for its manpower shortage. The final diagnosis last night was an 89-82 loss to the New York Knicks before an announced crowd of 19,763 at Madison Square Garden.
The Raptors were considerably better than they were Tuesday in Cleveland, when they lost 99-81 to the putrid Cavaliers. It was just too bad for the Raptors that they had to fall behind by 21 points late in the third quarter last night before they found their game in the fourth and cut the deficit to four points.
It was suggested to Raptors centre Keon Clark, who scored a game-high 26 points, it might have been a different story if the Raptors had started their comeback a minute or two earlier.
"If, if if ... if 'if' were a fifth, we'd all be drunk," Clark said. "Very, very small things are putting us in a position where we have to scratch up."
