Coach Mike Evans knows the NBA trade deadline is today, and that several of his Denver Nuggets players have been the subject of considerable talk between teams.

He knows the Nuggets are missing their top two players ? Antonio McDyess and Nick Van Exel ? and their catalyst, Ryan Bowen, because of injuries.

And he knows Denver has played six games in nine nights.

But, quite frankly, he's tired of hearing excuses.

With Utah winning its sixth straight road game, picking apart the Nuggets 110-99 Wednesday night at the Pepsi Center, Denver has lost its last three games by a combined margin of 59 points.

"We're starting to feel a little overwhelmed by what's happened," Evans said. "It's time to put all that crap behind us. This is not the same team that won two in a row on the road (at Memphis and Minnesota), and that's not acceptable. ... We have not played hard the last three games. Whatever it is, we have to snap out of it."

It got so bad Wednesday that Andrei Kirilenko, a rookie forward from Russia, looked Karl Malone-esque against the Nuggets, finishing with 21 points, six blocks and four rebounds. Fifteen of those points came in the first quarter, when Utah went ahead for good. The Nuggets didn't get closer than five points the rest of the way and they once trailed by 21. The Jazz shot 52 percent from the field, becoming the second straight team to rack up 110 points against Denver.

So the Nuggets dropped to 16-35 on the season and to 11-16 at home, which makes some players wonder if the team will actually allow today's trade deadline to pass without making a deal of some kind.
