HIGH POINT
The Jazz played decently on defense, contributing to the Nuggets' 28 turnovers and 37.8 percent shooting. The Jazz finished with 14 steals, including five by Karl Malone, who tied his season-high. Utah blocked 11 shots, including four by Donyell Marshall, who tied his season-high.

  LOW POINT
The Jazz continue to struggle from the three-point line. They finished 1-for-10 on three-pointers, including seven straight misses before Scott Padgett finally nailed on with 5:55 left. Over the last four games, the Jazz are 14-for-55 on their three-point attempts, or 25.4 percent.

  TURNING POINT
Leading only 45-36 at halftime, the Jazz limited the Nuggets to three points in the opening 4:25 of the third quarter. They eased to 54-39 lead, thanks in part to some aggressive defense by Malone. He stripped the Nuggets' Juwan Howard three times during the mini-run, which enabled the Jazz to finally take firm control of this game.
