Ron Mercer has watched his new teammates for six games. He's ready to join them in a game.

Mercer, part of the trade two weeks ago that brought Brad Miller, Ron Artest and Kevin Ollie to the Pacers, has not played since Jan. 23 because of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Mercer, a 6-7 guard/forward who averaged a team-high 16.8 points in 40 games with the Chicago Bulls, could be activated for tonight's home game against the Orlando Magic. A decision will be made after the shoot-around.
