PHILADELPHIA - The fans were asked to wear pajamas to last night's game, hoping to draw attention to the city tourism board's campaign to get people to spend the night here. But the Celtics never got into the spirit of the 76ers.

While they generally turn in early against Allen Iverson and his large friends, they crashed this slumber party with a 100-94 sigh-of-relief victory.

It was bedtime for a few nasty Celtics streaks: a four-game losing run overall, eight in a row to the Sixers and a five-gamer in Philly. In the past two weeks, they have been able to beat only last year's NBA finalists.

It was after that last win over the Los Angeles Lakers that the Celts made a five-player deal with Phoenix, and last night the first dividend was paid. New acquisitions Rodney Rogers and Tony Delk made their biggest splash to date. The former had nine of his 15 points in the last quarter, while the latter moved over and ran the point in crunch time on the way to 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
