George Winkler thinks the L.A. Clippers should pick up John Stockton. Don't hold your breath, George.
"John Stockton turned 40 Tuesday, and it occurred to me that what the Clippers needed all this time to stay in the Western Conference playoff race was an old guy. This LA team's playoff hopes have died -- even with the league's youngest roster, averaging 24.8 years of age.
Sure, the Clippers are improved and exciting to watch -- and have a promising future if all the youngsters don't jump ship in a few years. But in the here and now the Clippers have disappointed. They were, dare I say, almost expected to make the playoffs this season because of the talent they have."
