The (AP) reports: Drew Gooden will skip his senior season and enter the NBA draft after leading the Big 12 in scoring and rebounding and helping Kansas reach the Final Four.

"I'll always be grateful and will always be a Jayhawk in my heart," Gooden said Friday. "I've learned a lot since my first day at Kansas all the way up to my last game against Maryland. I'm not giving up my college education, I'm giving up my eligibility to play college basketball."

The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 19.8 points and 11.4 rebounds as a junior and is expected to be an NBA lottery pick.
