Ordinarily, it's tough to criticize a player who gives you 19 points, 21 rebounds, six assists and, while he's at it, blocks a couple of shots and gets a steal. But we'll make an exception. Kevin Garnett should have done more Sunday.

And he knows it.

"The fact of the matter is, I missed a lot of easy shots,'' he said.

Anyone want to argue with him? Anyone? Anyone?

"I think he missed some point-blank shots,'' Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders said. "We always expect more from him.''

They should. When a team is constructed around one player, when he's The Franchise and making so many millions that it impacts who else the team can afford to sign, the expectations have to be in the ionosphere. The only time it will seem as if Garnett has done enough is when the Wolves win.

Sunday, they lost.
