Tim Povtak of the Orlando Sentinel reports: Magic President Bob Vander Weide, in Charlotte for the start of this playoff series, said this weekend that the DeVos family would likely reopen discussions again about adding an ownership partner in the future.

Rich DeVos, 76, has owned the franchise since 1991. Although he announced that the team was for sale earlier this year, he changed his mind two months later, deciding that he wanted to keep it in the family long-term.

"At some point and time, when it actually does have to transition from Rich only to the second generation, we may need to take on a partner," said Vander Weide, who is also DeVos' son-in-law. "I'm not going to push anyone out the door, burn any bridges from someone who may have an interest in Orlando because of the weather, the state-tax issue or the young talent on our team."
