The Sacramento Kings can count their lucky stars -- and they know they were lucky Saturday afternoon -- that they drew the Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs.
They've learned a lot from the Jazz's savvy playoff veterans and unquestionably will learn a great deal more Monday night, when it will be like pulling a nail out of wet wood for them to beat the Jazz again in Game 4.
Utah does provide constant reminders -- the Kings are probably tiring of the constancy and resolve of Karl Malone and John Stockton -- that nothing comes easy in the playoffs, and Sacramento is taking notes.
As Chris Webber put it after his 18-point, 13-rebound effort helped prevent the Kings from careening into a 2-1 playoff abyss Saturday afternoon at the Delta Center: "We have that seriousness about us now. We feel like we can emulate those other guys in the other dressing room now."
