After their shortest postseason since 1989, the Jazz on Tuesday embarked on what likely will be their busiest offseason ever.

The day after a 91-86 loss to Sacramento in Game 4 of their competitive playoff series, the Jazz gathered at the Delta Center to clean out their lockers and say their goodbyes.

Eight of the 14 players who spent the season in Utah will become free agents July 1, including No. 2 scorer Donyell Marshall and veteran guard-forward Bryon Russell. And even though John Stockton is signed through the 2002-03 season and stands to earn $7.7 million, he has not committed to returning.
