Instant replay continues to be a hot topic in NBA circles, and controversy which could have been avoided continues to arise throughout the playoffs. After major calls during the regular season prompted NBA Commissioner David Stern and the NBA Board of Governors to raise the issue for review during a recent meeting in April, two incidents which could have been resolved via instant replay have happened in the last eight days; one being Baron Davis? three pointer which should have given the Hornets the win and the other being a Reggie Miller three pointer which counted and shouldn?t have. Lucky for the NBA both games were won by the teams who should have been awarded the wins earlier in the night.
"I think they have to really look at that because on the last-second shot of a quarter or anything of that nature, you have to determine whether it was a legitimate shot or not," Hornets coach Paul Silas said after the Davis dispute. "And the instant replay is going to show it.?
"At this point it's time to move into the 21st century."
