Point guards shouldn't be tough to spot in the 2002 NBA Draft, so long as you're not looking for pure point guards.
Those are on the scarcer side.
If you're simply looking for prospects with point-guard size, there are at least 10 on draft boards in every NBA front office. Jay Williams is naturally the headliner here, since he won't last beyond Wednesday's second overall pick and because he's a scorer more than anything, even at a mere 6-2.
The challenge for Williams, as with many of the prospects below him, is learning how to be an NBA-worthy point guard. The Chicago Bulls, who have openly prayed for Williams at No. 2 since the Duke junior declared for the draft, are convinced he'll ultimately be the floor leader to bring together Jalen Rose and the 7-foot teen-agers acquired in last June's draft: Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry.
