The Nets will be looking at some free agent big men this summer. Fred Kerber of the New York Post reports that the Nets are adding size to their summer league team.

11-year veteran Duane Causwell is among the players signed for next week?s summer league in Boston. The 7-foot Causwell, who sat out last season after Miami did not re-sign him, has career averages of 4.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in his four seasons with the Heat and seven with the Kings.

New Jersey also added a couple of 6-10 power forwards from Temple to their summer roster. Kevin Lyde, who went undrafted last month, and Lamont Barnes, a 2000 product will be playing along side of the Nets 4 rookies from last season (Richard Jefferson, Jason Collins, Brian Scalabrine and Brandon Armstrong).

In the event that the Nets are unable to re-sign Anthony Johnson to act as Jason Kidd?s back up point guard, they have also invited a couple of undrafted rookies to play the point. Tony Akins, a second team All-ACC point guard from Georgia Tech, and Brandon Dean from Arkansas will have a chance to lead the team in Boston.

Nenad Kristic, the Nets? first round pick in last months? draft, will not be available for the summer league. He will be playing with the Yugoslav club in the Global Games taking place in Dallas over the next two weeks.
