Barbara Barker of Newsday reports that Patrick Ewing may have seen his last days on the basketball court. David Falk, Ewing's long-time agent, said the 17-year center is facing some difficult choices this offseason.

"I don't know," Falk said when asked if Ewing would play next season. "I think Patrick just got out of a cast a couple of weeks ago. He's working to see how he responds to surgery, and he's going to have to make some tough decisions over the summer."

Ewing underwent surgery on his index finger after the season. He is discussing a buyout of his contract with the Magic and will probably not return to Orlando. Falk, however, did not rule out his playing for another team. Falk expects him to make a decision soon.

"I told him if he wants me to get him a job when training camp starts in October I need more than a couple of days' notice," Falk said. "I think he's got to decide physically what his body can do."
