What basketball fans in Spain are having a hard time understanding is that the issue with Raul Lopez isn't how much integrity the Jazz possess.
     
The issue is whether Lopez can still play.
     
Or maybe they understand it, but they don't think that should be the issue.
     
At any rate, the effort to keep everybody in the clear on Lopez's contract status is creating a lot of work for David Allred, the Jazz vice president for public relations. Besides his usual duties answering the questions of local media, his fluency in Spanish has landed him the responsibility of being the conduit between the team and Lopez, Lopez's advisers, media and fans in Spain.
