After hearing relatively good news about Raul Lopez's injured knee, the Utah Jazz say they are working to sign the team's first-round pick from last year.

Lopez, 22, tore ligaments in his knee while playing for the Spanish national team in August.

The evaluations on Lopez, Utah's prospective point guard of the future, were completed Friday by doctors at the University of Utah. They said the injury can be repaired and function restored. According to the evaluations, Lopez suffered a lateral meniscal tear and a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
