Terry Pluto of the Beacon-Journal reports that the Cavaliers are still looking to add to their roster. General Manager Jim Paxson is trying to sign another guard to fill out the Cavs? backcourt depth.
Paxson is looking at free agents Earl Boykins, Matt Maloney and Doug Overton. He made a $1 million offer (the minimum salary) to Rod Strickland, who might end up in Cleveland, but but Pluto supposes he would probably prefer to play for a contender.
Paxson is also trying to trade Lamond Murray. There are no pending deals at the moment, but some teams may show interest after training camp. A key will be if Murray can show up in shape. In each of the past few years, he's been at least 10-15 pounds overweight when he reported to camp.
