Reminders come in the form of muscle spasms like those that caused him to sit out practice Wednesday, and simple soreness like that which caused him to miss one session of training camp late last week.
But the fact he is down one kidney from a season ago hardly weighs on Greg Ostertag's mind.
To the contrary, the Jazz's 7-foot-2 center may be as up for this NBA season to begin as he has been for any since breaking into the league back in 1995.
"As far as I know, I'll be able to go as hard as I can," said Ostertag, whom the Jazz also expect to have available for tonight's preseason game versus Sacramento at the Lawlor Event Center here. "I should be ready to go when the (regular) season starts."
