Old-school basketball is alive and well in the NBA for as long as John Stockton says so.

The 40-year-old point guard isn't just holding on for a 19th season with the Jazz. He"s still forcing the issue.

Stockton proved that in the eight-game preseason schedule when he averaged a team-high 11.3 points and 5.5 assists, and shot 56 percent from the field.

And he added an exclamation point with a classic old-school moment during the final exhibition with the Toronto Raptors.

After Toronto center Jelani McCoy dunked on Greg Ostertag, McCoy hung on the rim, let out a whoop, then ran down court like he was awful proud of himself.
