Twelve games and six starting lineups into the season, the Jazz may have hit on a combination that works.

In a change dictated perhaps more by circumstance than strategy, Jazz coach Jerry Sloan opened Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Suns with Karl Malone, John Stockton, Greg Ostertag, Calbert Cheaney and Matt Harpring.

That veteran lineup got the Jazz off to a rare good start, which they parlayed into a 99-76 blowout of the Suns.

"That"s one of the best games we've played this year, wire-to-wire," Sloan said.

Slow starts ? and a killer schedule ? plagued the Jazz as they stumbled to a 3-7 start. But they've played better of late and now possess their first win streak of the season ? at a modest two games.
