It wasn't as if the Utah Jazz weren't aware that David Wesley could shoot the three. But 8 out of 10? On the road? In an arena where the Charlotte Hornets hadn't won since 1995?

Besides being a Hornets franchise high and personal career high, that shooting performance was instrumental in sending the Jazz to a 93-88 defeat Thursday night at the Delta Center.

It wasn't the only factor, but it was the biggest.

"The key was David," said Hornets coach Paul Silas. "He made the threes when we needed them" ? which was pretty much all game long ? "and kept the Jazz at bay. Just a super job."
