Entering his tenth NBA season, the Utah Jazz became the fourth team Calbert Cheaney has played for during his career. Originally drafted by the Washington Bullets, Cheaney was a highly sought lottery pick coming out of Indiana in the 1993 NBA Draft. His impact was felt immediately for the Bullets as he averaged 12.1ppg during his rookie season and followed the next season with a career high 16.6ppg. Cheaney spent the next three seasons with the team before leaving as a free agent to sign with the Boston Celtics for the 1999-2000 season.
But Cheaney?s tenure in Boston was short, as he was traded to Denver before the beginning of the next season.
