After four dozen games in three months, it is probably natural for NBA teams to anticipate their All-Star Weekend off like school kids counting down to summer vacation. And when teams get one foot out the door, just look at some of the crazy results that can occur, as they did Wednesday: Cleveland beats Houston. The Sixers are blown out at home. Seattle falls by 40. And the Grizzlies upset Utah.
Well, hold off on that last one.
The Jazz, trailing by 12 just before halftime to a team they had beaten by 62 points in two previous meetings, finally got serious about the Grizzlies in the second half, took over in the fourth quarter and headed to midseason recess with a harder-than-it-looked 105-84 victory over Memphis.
