A mild ankle sprain, Karl Malone vowed Wednesday night, won't keep him from making the most of his All-Star Game break.

"I'm gonna take these days off and enjoy myself and my family and get ready for the second half of the season," Malone said after scoring 31 points in the Jazz's 105-84 win over Memphis.

"I kind of sprained my ankle a little bit. . . . That's a bummer," added Malone, who isn't believed to be seriously hurt after apparently stepping awkwardly on the foot of Memphis' Pau Gasol. "I'll be treating myself, and just kind of relaxing for a little while. . . . I'm gonna take about three or four days off and do nothing."

Jazz starting small forward Matt Harpring did not play for the second time in three games, opting again to sit out because of a ribcage muscle injury sustained last Friday night.
