Compared to Jerry Sloan, Andrei Kirilenko might be called a chip off the old block.

The second-season swingman from Russia hustles like the Jazz head coach did when he played. He isn't afraid to dive on the floor like Sloan did. Kirilenko even flashes some of the same tenacity that made the former Chicago Bull a four-time first-team NBA All-Defensive Team selection.

When it comes to blocks, though, the chip and his habit of trying to swat outside jumpers from non-traditional positions has the old coach in a tizzy.

Sometimes, it almost seems as if Kirilenko invites a shooter to get in front of him ? just so he can have a chance to block his shot from the side, or even from behind.
