He deems him the greatest point guard ever, and, no, he is not talking about his current teammate, NBA all-time assists leader John Stockton.
     
Rather, Mark Jackson is referencing Magic Johnson ? the man Jackson soon will pass for second place behind Stockton on the league's list of career leaders.
     
"(That is) no knock to anybody else, especially Stock. Because I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for what (Stockton) has done in this league," Jackson said. "But a 6-(foot)-9 guy that does what (Johnson did) only comes around once in a lifetime."
     
In Jackson's mind, Magic is the man.
