Utah's center regained consciousness after a minute or two on Friday, but the Jazz never did, responding to the Pacers' physical challenge with a back-on-the-canvas surrender in Conseco Fieldhouse. Indiana, losers of 12 of its last 13 and missing three starters, landed a crushing blow to the Jazz's self-esteem by romping to a 101-81 victory that any compassionate referee would have halted at halftime.
   
"This game is bothersome," said a deadly serious John Stockton. "I'm very disappointed in the way we did everything -- offensively, defensively, attitude-wise, the whole thing. We didn't put up a battle in any stage of the game, and that's very disappointing."
