Jim Mashek of the Sun Herald reports that Mario Austin has signed with an agent ending his college career.

Questions remain with NBA scouts as to whether or not Austin will be a high pick. Austin believes he is a lottery pick.

"He's not totally different from Elton Brand," a scout said. "He's in great shape, he works really hard in the paint and has very long arms. He's not as tall or athletic as you'd like, but I think he has a chance to be real good."

NBA scouts also question whether or not Austin is a true 6-9 player, believing he is closer to 6-7. Austin, who signed with agent Bill Duffy, said the opportunity for fnancial security played a big role in his decision.
