Paul Jones of the Starkville Daily News reports that Mississippi State could lose more than just Mario Austin to the draft.

Mississippi State signee Travis Outlaw, a McDonald's All-American, could leave before he ever gets to the school jumping straight from high school to the pro's. Outlaw recently took his ACT and is awaiting his scores.

"I fell pretty confident about the test I took and my grades have definitely picked up this year," said Outlaw. "But I am still working hard, and working on improving my all-around game, especially my defense.

"But I am still up in the air with the whole NBA deal. And I won't know until later what my decision will be. But with Mario leaving, that will not affect my decision either way. I am glad for Mario and was behind him regardless of his choice. I wish him well and will be behind him all the way."

His father said they will sit down before deciding whether Outlaw will go to college or the pro's.

"Right now, we are just doing a little talking about the whole situation," said John Outlaw. "But it is nice to know he is considered like that. But we have to get more facts before he decides anything. And we will have plenty of time to make a good decision.

"But we will sit down as a family and let him make his own decision and go his own way. But whatever Travis decides to do, we will support him all along the way wherever he may be."
