Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News reports: On Friday, Mavericks guard Avery Johnson questioned whether he is in Dallas' future plans.

Johnson believes the Mavericks want him to retire after this season and start his coaching career. However, he has no plans to do so.

"I'm going to play two more seasons and retire when I'm 40," Johnson said before Friday's game at Utah. "No matter what happens with the playoff roster, I'm going to play two more seasons."

Head coach Don Nelson said no decisions about the playoff roster, which will be finalized on Thursday, have been made yet.

"We'll make those decisions at the last possible moment," he said. "Who we play could make a difference on who is on it."
