Tim Brown of the Los Angeles Times reports: The Los Angeles Lakers expect Shaquille O?Neal to play tonight in the second game of their playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which Los Angeles leads 1-0.

Monday morning, O?Neal took a private jet to South Carolina to attend the wake of his grandfather, Sirlester O'Neal, who died Thursday.

O'Neal was expected to arrive back in Minnesota either last night or just before game time, which is 9:30 EST tonight, if he decides to attend today?s funeral.

Coach Phil Jackson is a little puzzled about what time O'Neal will be back.

I'm a little bit confused,"  Jackson said. "I've heard two versions [I'm as] concerned as you can be, provided there's not a weather problem or anything else."

He added, "He'll be here."

Kobe Bryant also expects Shaq to show up.

"We know when he gets here, he'll be ready,".
