Whether the principals involved like it or not -- and they don't -- tonight will be Turn Back the Clock Night for a majority of the expected sellout crowd in the Delta Center.

And since nostalgia for historic Jazz heroes will be the prevailing emotion, Jerry Sloan wouldn't mind if his team flashes back to a not-so-notable moment in the team's playoff history:

Last Monday.

That's when the Jazz's desperation was at its worst, when the 2-0 deficit to Sacramento seemed especially aggravating and a Kings victory especially inevitable. But the Jazz mustered their pride, their professionalism, and their once-indomitable physical style to narrow the gap to 2-1 with a gripping 107-104 victory on Saturday.

Whether that was a gallant final stand or a precursor to a down-to-the-wire crusade depends, Sloan said, on whether the Jazz keep that backed-into-a-corner edge tonight (8:30 p.m., KJZZ, TNT).
