Not counting the playoffs, John Stockton played 1,504 games for the Jazz in his impossibly long NBA career. He compiled 15,806 assists and 3,265 steals -- more than anybody else in league history -- and added 19,711 points and 4,051 rebounds.
   
Only twice, though, has he lost the handle on his emotions.
   
Yet both instances confirmed the very best about Stockton in a way that none of the statistics or awards ever could.
