The Jazz's playoff exit in Sacramento, Calif., last week clearly marked the end of a great NBA era. The question seems to be how complete the changeover in Salt Lake City will be.
Friday, John Stockton indicated he would retire after 19 seasons as the game's all-time leader in assists and steals. After Stockton, 41, met with Jazz owner Larry Miller and coach Jerry Sloan he told reporters: "I think I'm finished. I informed those guys and that's the direction I'm headed. I just said, `I think it's time to move on.'"
