Michael Jordan and Washington Wizards majority owner Abe Pollin plan to meet today to determine Jordan's future with the franchise.

The negotiations, expected to include business and legal representatives for both Jordan and Pollin, will end with Jordan, 40, resuming his role as president of basketball operations or departing after nearly four years with the franchise.

Jordan has said for months that he wants to return to the executive post he held from January 2000 to October 2001. The position would give him the final say on draft choices, hiring and firing of the front-office and coaching staffs, and the formation of the roster.

Jordan could not be reached to comment yesterday, but told The Post on Monday night, "I'd like to think we can iron this out." Pollin has declined to comment, saying he would speak only after his talks with Jordan were complete.
