Jazz executive Kevin O'Connor on Wednesday squashed a report suggesting he is a candidate to become the new general manager of the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers.

"This is all about nothing," said O'Connor, the Jazz's vice president of basketball operations.

The Blazers, being aided in their search by a Cleveland-based headhunting firm, have been presented with a lengthy list of potential candidates to replace Bob Whitsitt, who served as both president and GM in Portland.
