Bob Bass, who is heading the search to replace former Hornets coach Paul Silas, interviewed Tim Floyd for three hours Thursday at the Alario Center, the team's temporary practice facility in Westwego.

Floyd, the former UNO and Chicago Bulls coach, is the first of three finalists to be interviewed. The others will be Mike Fratello and Brian Hill.

"It went fine; we had a great conversation, and there will probably be another one at some point later on, a week away or sometime," said Bass, the Hornets' vice president of basketball operations. "It was good, very good."
