Robert Horry probably will not have the 2003-04 option on his contract exercised, according to those familiar with the club's plans.
General Manager Mitch Kupchak has said he would make personnel decisions after the season, including whether to retain Horry at $5.3 million or allow him to become a free agent. If Horry goes, he would become the sixth free agent on the Lakers' 13-man roster.
Horry, who will be 33 this summer, has played the last six-plus seasons with the Lakers and in that time earned a reputation as one of the best big-game players on the team.
