The Heat saw the names it needed to see Friday when the list of early-entry candidates for the NBA Draft was released.

But there was one notable omission that could have enhanced the Heat's draft status, especially if it does not get lucky at Thursday's lottery.

Seeded fourth for the lottery, with the chance to wind up with anything from the No. 1 pick to the No. 7 selection, the Heat had its hopes bolstered by the volume of early entries.

In all, 42 college underclassmen and high school players, as well as 31 foreign players younger than the 22-year-old cutoff for automatic international eligibility submitted their names for the June 26 draft.
