Rick Rickert said he has made a final decision to enter this month's NBA draft, will sign with agent Bill Duffy, and has no desire to return to the Gophers.

"I'm not coming back," Rickert said Saturday.

Rickert was in town to visit before returning to Florida, where he has put on 10 pounds and gotten much stronger in a workout program.

Rickert already has worked out for Golden State, Boston, the Lakers and Memphis. Denver will get a look at Rickert on Monday and the Wolves on June 10. New Jersey, Seattle and Chicago also will get to see Rickert.

"I have no doubt in my mind I can play in this league," said Rickert, who has gone against some NBA players in various cities. "My quickness is OK."

While some of the Internet draft experts and various NBA officials are telling Rickert he might be selected late in the first round or early in the second, he said those reports are of no concern to him.

"I'm not paying attention to those Internet sites," he said. "I'm just working out for the teams. The Internet sites don't draft for the teams."
