NBA veteran and former UTEP star Greg Foster said Wednesday he's "disappointed" in assistant coaching salary discussions with his alma mater, which is attempting to fill out second-year coach Billy Gillispie's staff with a fourth assistant.

"I'm not after the world here, but in the same breath, I can't do it for free," said the 7-foot Foster, who estimated he could make $200,000 to $300,000 playing in Europe next season. "I'm not asking for six figures or anything. I don't know if this will happen with UTEP or not, but I'm still hopeful down the road something can be worked out."
