Boston College's Troy Bell still isn't a ``pure'' point guard, but he managed to help his stock at the NBA's pre-draft camp. Bell handled the ball well and averaged 18 points in about 21 minutes per game in three outings this week.
He had a total of just 10 assists (seven in one game), but one general manager said, ``A lot of that was because of how they were guarding him. He took advantage of his scoring opportunities, and that's what you want.''
Bell is well aware he's in a large pool of players who could go anywhere from the latter stages of the first round to somewhere in the second. He's not concerned about missing out on the opening round and its guaranteed contract.
``As long as I get my foot in the door, I'll work hard enough to get to where I want to be. So if I don't go first round, which I think I deserve to, I'll be fine either way,'' Bell said.
``I just did everything I could do, and hopefully I got somebody to like me. All it takes is one.''
