Don't expect a quick decision by Michael Jordan on whether to join the Charlotte Bobcats, a source knowledgeable of the situation said Monday.

The source, who requested anonymity, said Jordan wants some time to consider his options after his deal to buy the Milwaukee Bucks fell through Sunday.

Jordan has a standing offer from Bobcats owner Bob Johnson to become team president and part-owner. After meeting with Johnson about that opportunity, Jordan spent much of the past month pursuing a purchase of the Bucks.

Representatives of Jordan and Johnson declined comment. Johnson has said he'd understand if Jordan's preference is to own controlling interest in an NBA team, rather than work for someone.
